Day Forty

I slept so well last night. It was glorious. It’s not often anymore that I can just lay down, close my eyes and go to sleep so when it does happen I am very happy about it. I slept in this morning as well, so I started the day fully rested and I am telling you, that’s a big deal. At work, I stayed busy getting the most recent delivery of vessel items ready for tagging. It’s a process getting all the UPC’s in order, the labels printed and then attached to tags. I will be glad when everything is tagged and that day is getting closer and closer.

I stayed at work a little longer than I intended to, so my gym time was shorter, which meant no rowing today. Instead I ran and did weights and abs. After the gym, I showered and headed to dinner. We had Thai green curry, which is one of my favorites. The family table conversations have gotten pretty silly…we are all easily amused. Lack of stimulation and new things, but we laugh a good bit, so there is that. After dinner, I headed over to Monday night yoga with Pepper. The short walk was very cold as the wind is extra blowy and it’s -50F out. Yuck.

After yoga, I went over to the 208 lounge to watch Jeopardy with friends. I got there early and another group had just started an episode of Ted Lasso, so I watched that and then caught the second half of Jeopardy. Following Jeopardy, we put the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle on the TV (via a computer) and did the puzzle together. I haven’t really been going to Jeopardy regularly lately and the puzzle is something they started doing fairly recently. It was a nice change and we managed to solve the puzzle minus a few incorrect letters here and there.

And that’s about it. Just another day at the bottom of the world. A cold, dark and windy one, but a good one.
